Protection

Many policies have an optional premium waiver or involuntary unemployment protection – so if you’ve been made redundant and meet the other conditions, you may be able to make a claim.

Can I make a claim under my Income Protection cover

Income Protection provides a regular income if you can’t work due to an injury or illness – which could include illness from COVID-19. However, it doesn’t cover losing income because you’ve been made redundant or lost your job.

Where else can I go for job seeker help

The Australian Government has created a COVID-19 jobs hub to help people looking for work. While you’re looking, you can also apply for a Jobseeker payment on the Government Services Australia (Centrelink) website. If you’re a NAB customer, NAB also has a range of measures to support you.
